The Guardians' powers are put to the ultimate test in their final battle in this conclusion to the epic chapter book series from William Joyce. When we last saw the Guardians, they were celebrating their victory during Bright Night, the final great Battle of the Moon, where they defeated Pitch once and for all. Or so they thought. Joyce, William
William Joyce mora em Shrevesport, Louisiana, e passou a maior parte de sua vida tentando decifrar os arquivos perdidos e quase destruídos das origens do Homem da Lua, do Papai Noel e de todos os outros Guardiões da Infância. Registros esses encontrados no rancho da família Joyce, situado na saída de Abilene, Texas, em 1965. Atualmente, ele reparte seu tempo entre a escrita e a ilustração de livros infantis, bem como a adaptação cinematográfica e televisiva de seus textos. Seu trabalho audiovisual já foi consagrado com três Prêmios Emmy, e pelo Oscar de Melhor Curta-metragem de Os fantásticos livros voadores de Modesto Máximo. Joyce desenvolveu também obras originais de animação, tendo sido responsável pela elaboração dos perfis dos personagens dos premiados filmes de animação Toy Story e Vida de inseto. Além disso, roteirizou e foi responsável pela concepção visual de A origem dos guardiões, dirigido por Peter Ramsey. |
