Capek, Karel
Karel Capek nasceu na atual República Tcheca, em 1890, e teve grande relevâncianos movimentos literário e artístico ao longo da primeira década do século 20.Sua carreira como escritor e dramaturgo teve grande impacto na cultura pop: foi apeça R.U.R., de 1920, que cunhou a palavra robô e levou a preocupação com a criação devida artificial a um novo patamar. Um crítico extremamente perspicaz, Capek teve a vidamarcada pelo ativismo político e pela preocupação com as implicações sociais e éticas da tecnologia. Faleceu em 1938. |
