Hanif Abdurraqib é poeta, ensaísta e crítico cultural. Sua poesia foi publicada em revistas como PEN America, Muzzle e Vinyl, entre outras. Seus ensaios e críticas foram publicados em The New Yorker, Pitchfork, The New York Times e Fader.
