DON DELILLO nasceu em Nova York, em 1936. Sua obra inclui romances, contos e peças de teatro. Em 1985, recebeu o prestigioso National Book Award por Ruído branco. Também foi agraciado com o PEN/Faulkner Award e o Library of Congress Prize for American Fiction. Entre seus trabalhos mais conhecidos estão Os nomes (1982), Submundo (1997) e Zero K (2016), todos publicados pela Companhia das Letras.
